Michael P. Murray
of Chenango Bridge
Michael P. Murray, 49, of Chenango Bridge, died unexpectedly Thursday, September 5, 2002, at his home. He is survived by his parents, William and Kathleen Murray, Chenango Bridge; sisters and brother-in-law, Colleen and Tim Conklin, Hillcrest, Kelly Leadbeater, Chenango Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, William, Jr. and Joanne Murray, Lisle; nieces and nephews, Tim Conklin, Todd Conklin, Ryan Conklin, Megan Conklin, Brendon Conklin, BJ Murray, Caitlin Leadbeater, Casey Leadbeater; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Hillcrest, a graduate of Chenango Valley High School, Class of 1971 and Erie Community College. He was an avid history enthusiast, an Eagle Scout and was a licensed optician working in the area for many years. Mike was a loving son and brother who will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main St., Binghamton, Monday at 1 p.m. and at 1:30 p.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mike may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1031 Chenango St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13901.
