Aunt Esther, I am sorry I was unable to make it to Chenango Bridge for the memorial. Uncle Milton was truly a special guy-everytime I was around him it was a real great experience, and I only wish I had known him better. I hope to visit with you after I get back with my Mom (Maria) and Dad (David). Love Max

Esther & Family,
My brother, Bill, and I went fly fishing on the W. Branch on July 19. I heard a "kerplunk" behind me and thought it was a fish rolling, but a short while later discovered that a box of flies that Milt had tied and I won in our TU banquet raffle had fallen out of my vest and was drifting away down the river. Fortunately, I have the fly I was using and will always cherish memories of Milt each time I go fly fishing. May the Lord comfort you at this time of loss. In Christ's love,
Rebecca, Jason, Tyler and Nolan Smith

I cannot tell you how saddened we were to learn of Milt's passing. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences for your loss. Milt was a wonderful person with a great heart, a sense of humor and a warm smile. I will always remember how Milt took the time to show Tyler and Nolan his art of tying flies, his airplane collections or treaures he had found in the garden or woods. And who could forget his perfectly manicured green grass. We miss the old neighborhood and we’re grateful we had such wonderful neighbors like you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of Milt. He was the good looking kid next door as I was growing up on Massachusetts Avenue and always had a good word for the scrawny pest that most preteen girls become. He was a bright light and made my day when he spoke to me. Barbara Hayes Maxian

Dear Mrs. Sabol,
I just received the news of Mr. Sabol's passing. I feel as though I've lost a father, which is exactly what he was to me. You both opened your homes and hearts to me and made a foreign place to an international student very welcoming.
Over the years, in speaking with you and visiting, I always felt that your home was my home. You both made me feel like family and, today, as you mourn the loss of this wonderful man, I want to tell you how much he meant to me. He taught me so much and I always told those I come in contact with about my family in Binghamton.
I pray God's spirit on you and I hope that being surrounded by John & Laura and the rest of the family would be comforting to you.
I miss him already and I can't stop crying.
Always - His "JR"

Mrs. Sabol, John, Laura, I am sorry to hear of your loss. You may not remember me but it seems I do recall at least one exciting trip to see where "Johnny's Dad" worked back in the Sunrise Terrace days and a very willing hand helping us kids set up the slotcar track somewhere in the Sabol household. He will be missed.

I was so sad to see that Milt has passed away. I worked for him for many years; he was a great mentor and advocate for all of his employees. He had a great heart and a good sense of humor and was a dedicated employee.
I would not be where I am today without his encouragement and help.
My prayers are with the family

Dear Esther and Family,
I cannot tell you how saddened I was to learn of Milt's passing. My sincere and heartfelt condolences for you loss. Milt was a wonderful person. He was a kind, caring and gentle man.
He was also my friend and "fishing buddy" when I lived in the Triple Cities. Even thought I had left the area more than 15 years ago, Milt still took the time to keep in touch with me thru Christmas cards and an occassional letter......always with a fly included. When we would see each other on the West Branch of the Delaware River, it only took seconds to renew our friendship. I will miss him.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time of loss.

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Milt (that's Uncle Milt to me) for 45 years. Never in that time did I ever hear a harsh word from him. Every time I saw him there was always a hearty hand shake and a smile. He was always glad to see me and always wanted to find out how I was doing.
Even right up to the last time I saw him, he was always upbeat and positive.
The world lost a great man and we all are better off for knowing him.
I will miss him greatly and will forever hold a special place in my hart for good old Uncle Milt.
