Nellie Anderson Obituary

Nellie M. Anderson
formerly of Owego
Nellie M. Anderson, 98, of Willow Point Nursing Home, formerly of Owego, N.Y., died at United Health Services on Sunday, January 9, 2005. Nellie was born October 30, 1906 to Alvin and Grace Sperry Aman. She was the widow of Irving Anderson who died in 1973. Nellie was a member of the Goodrich Settlement Grange and the Owego Methodist Church. At the time of her death Nellie was the oldest living Alumna of Spencer Central School. Nellie is survived by her daughters, Betty (Cyrus) Strever, Candor, and Doris Ford, Mount Upton, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, Debra (Brian) Bokar, Candor, Elaine Amoroso, Candor, Suzanne (Joseph) Carucci, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Donna Ford, Mount Upton, N.Y.; and her great-grandchildren, Karl Pletl, Christine Pletl, Thomas Pletl; and step-grandchildren, Andrew and Michael Carucci; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 13, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Candor Funeral Parlour, Inc., 137 Main St., Candor, N.Y., with Reverend Philip Jordan officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, N.Y. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. The family would like to extend thanks to the Staff at Willow Point Nursing Home and United Health Services for the care given to Nellie.
