Robert David Dobley
of Candor
Robert (Bob) David Dobley, 73, of Candor passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 21, 2010. Bob was born in Manhattan and grew up in the Bronx. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School at the age of 16 and obtained an Electrical Engineering degree from NJIT at the age of 20. Bob then joined the U.S. Army for 4 years. He later worked for a number of companies, like Westinghouse and Singer, as an electrical engineer. Bob enjoyed classical music, history, science fiction, art, mathematics, philosophy, and theology. Bob was predeceased by parents, Walter and Agnes (Opilo) Dobley. Bob is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Karen Dobley of Connecticut; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Frank Ramos of Arizona; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Nathaniel, and Gabriel; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Fran Dobley of California; his former wife, Danuta Kemp; several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will hold a Memorial Service in Bob's honor. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert David Dobley's memory to the Boy Scouts of America. www.emfaheyfuneralhome.com
