Ruth E. Kail
of Heart Lake, Pa.
Ruth E. Kail, 85, of Heart Lake, Pa., passed away, Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Meadow View Senior Living Center, Montrose, Pa. Born June 24, 1922 in Berkshire, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late W. Leonard and Wilma (Rogers) Ball. Her husband, Karl A. Kail III, predeceased her in 1980. She attended the University of Alabama, School of Aeronautical Engineering. After college, she worked for Link Aviation in Hillcrest, N.Y., Bendix Aviation, Modern Design, and Valley Crafts, specializing in drafting and tool design. Ruth also trained with the civil air patrol and served as Special Deputy Sheriff for Susquehanna County. She was a member of The Montrose Club for several years, enjoyed hunting, alpine and cross-country skiing, and water sports. Ruth loved spending time in her vegetable garden and always had a friendly dog with her. Survivors include daughter, Doris Ann Kail, Bradenton, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Karl A. and Laura Kail, Heart Lake, Pa., Charles M. and Cheryl Kail, Burlington, Vt.; grandchildren, Karl, Kearstin Meadows, Darby Kail, Jacie Knapp and Charli Crooks; great-grandchildren, Toni Crooks and Marcus Knapp; and nieces and nephews including, Nan Baker, Elk Lake, Pa., and Sue Ball, Port St. Lucie, Fla.
