Thomas S. McGranaghan
of Montrose, Pa.
Thomas S. McGranaghan, 84, of Montrose, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, Pa. He was born in Hancock, N.Y. to the late William Austin and Julia (Fives) McGranaghan. His wife of 52 years, Jeanne (Pfeiff), survives. Tom worked for Bendix in South Montrose for 24 years and for Singer Link for 12 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed playing golf, watching sporting events and spending time with his grandchildren. The family has fond memories of vacations together with trips to California, Nova Scotia and Europe, including multiple trips to Ireland and Scotland where he played golf at St. Andrew's. He is survived by his five children, Cathleen (Dan) Regan, Montrose, Pa., sons, Michael, New Jersey, Timothy (Patti), Hershey, Pa., Donald (Diane) Montrose, Pa., Patrick (Rhea), Philadelphia, Pa.; grandchildren, Sophia, Ian, Kyle, Jasmine, Liam, Megan, Kelly, and Milo McGranaghan, and Sean Regan. Tom was predeceased by his son, Mark, in 1989; brothers, Donald, Austin and Paul; and sister, Marie Lotito.
Private service will be held at the family's convenience. A visitation will take place on Friday evening, January 27, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, Pa. Interment will be in the Holy Name of Mary Cemetery, Montrose, Pa.
