Vivian Julia MARK

Passed away March 27, 2014 at the age of 89, in Round Rock, Texas where she had been lovingly cared for by her husband, Derril Mark, and daughter Marcia Brown. Prior to living in Texas, her home of 50 years was Santa Rosa, CA. Vivian was born in the town of Florida, New York on December 17, 1924 to Lorenzo Taylor Dawe of Cupids Bay, Newfoundland and Beatrice Feltham of Deer Island, Newfoundland. She graduated from Syracuse University in the class of '46. Vivian left New York with her first husband Robert H. Coulombe, and became a librarian in Richmond, CA. She taught second grade at Wright Elementary School in Santa Rosa, retiring in 1985 to begin her travels. If a vehicle was going somewhere, she was too! Many wonderful years were spent traveling in the motor home with her husband Derril, visiting friends and family. She also enjoyed working in the garden, dancing, knitting and she loved to shop. Vivian is survived by her husband of 43 years, Derril R. Mark; sons Gary (Patricia) Coulombe, David (Shari) Coulombe, and daughter Marcia (Greg) Brown, stepson Bradley (Glenna) Mark; sisters Geraldine (Mervin) Stevens and Lorraine Wilson; along with 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Gwendolyn (Lloyd) Mitchell, first husband Robert H. Coulombe, stepdaughter Sharon Berndt, and infant daughter Karen Coulombe. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1551 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA.
