Frank Lauro Obituary
Born in Providence a son of the late Frank and Josephine (Natale) Lauro.
Mr. Lauro was a retired Providence Firefighter. He also owned and operated Lauro Jewelry Co.
He was a member of St. Mary's Feast Society and a member of the R.I. National Guard..
He is survived by his sons Robert Lauro of Cranston and Frank Lauro and his wife Melissa of Cranston. Grandfather of Jake and Colin. Also survived by his brothers; Thomas F. Lauro and his wife Barbara of Cranston, William J. Lauro and his wife Joann of Providence and Robert P. Lauro and his wife Elaine of Providence. Uncle of Terri, Gina and Amanda Lauro.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 a.m. from 'WOODLAWN' Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. I met Frank throught his comapany Lauro Jewelry..I worked at Victory Plating and Frank's Company would epoxy the Key Fob's from Koch through Jal Creation's Tony Lanni...Frank was always,always smiling..and a couple of weeks ago i was at the beach and needed a cigar..i walk in to the cigar store across from St Mary's church and i say to the owner.."you look familar to me what is your last name?" Lauro he tells me! I had not seen Frank since maybe 1998 when i left Victory..but in a second i could see Frank through his brothers eyes!God Bless Frank and his family and to quote "only the good die young" Frank will be in our prayers with my children at bedtime.
