Sherry Alane Cramer, age 69 of Port Jervis, NY, passed away on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at Garnett Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY.
She was born on June 26, 1951 in Port Jervis and is the daughter of the late Ernest W. Cramer and Marie A. Casterlin. Sherry worked as a nurses aide for Garnett Health Medical Center. She enjoyed working her garden and was dedicated and compassionate with her patients at the Mother Baby unit at Garnett Medical Center.
She is survived by her sister, Darlene Amarilla of Port Jervis; three brothers: Allan Cramer and wife, Judith of Town of Greenville, NY, Lee Cramer and wife, Mary of Port Jervis, Brian Cramer and wife, Denise of Town of Greenville, NY; several nieces and nephews, and her companion, Layshawn Mitchell. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 21 at Manning Cemetery, Town of Greenville, NY. Rev. Diane Sommers will officiate.

You would be hard pressed to meet a kinder soul. It was so wonderful to see Sherry at our 50th reunion. Godspeed to her and her loved ones. She was an angel on earth, and now one in heaven.

I am sorry to hear about Sherry's passing. She was a very kind person, with a calming presence. I always refer to her as one of the best care assistants I have worked beside. She has been missed since her retirement and will always be remembered as a caring, gentle soul. My condolences to her family.

Sherry was softhearted, good natured, considerate, fun loving, loyal and trustworthy, appreciative and an amazing friend and coworker. She was our BABY-WHISPERER at Horton Hospital. I never met another person in my 40+ years of work that was as good as Sherry. I often used what she taught me throughout my career. It never mattered what was going on for our 8 hour shift, if I had Sherry working with me I knew I could handle it. Sherry you will be sadly missed by many...your legacy lives on to all those you touched throughout your life. I will love you forever. RIP my friend and coworker.

Sherry was a beautiful person...inside and out. She was so gentle and kind when she took care of my Mom in the hospital! I'm proud to have known her and graduated with her from MInisink Valley in 1969. My heart and prayers are with her family. I am so sorry for your loss!

Sherry was always kind and sweet to her patients and others around her. I worked with her at the hospital many years ago. This is such a sad passing but I know she has earned her angel wings.
