BOBBY NOTT Obituary

Loved and respected, our “Hero” and longtime resident of Red Bluff, Bobby Dean Nott, Sr., went to be with the Lord in the morning of Nov. 4, 2008. He was 72. Our dad was born on June 4, 1936. The cause of his passing was a single-vehicle accident involving black ice on Highway 36, above Susanville. He is survived by his wonderful wife of 53 years Donna C. Nott, who is currently fighting for her life at Renown Trauma Center in Reno, Nev.; sons Bobby Dean Nott, Jr. and Mark Elmore Nott; grandchildren Christopher, Bob (BJ), Albrey, Nikolas, Grant, Bethany; great-grandchild Mariah and his sister Judy Gordon. Rebecca, Bob and Donna’s only daughter, went to be with the Lord a few years ago. So, there was a reunion. Bob is also predeceased by his parents. Dad will be missed by so many. However, we know that we will see him again soon. A memorial fund has been set up to provide for the travel, lodging and expenses that the boys are incurring as they travel back and forth to Reno to be with their mother. Cards of love may be sent to The Bob Nott Family, 935 Montcrest Drive, Redding, 96003 or call 605-1434. A memorial service will be planned when our mom is able. Thank you so much for your outpouring of support during these most difficult times.

Dear Donna and family,

My dear, dear friend; words cannot convey the pain in my heart for the loss of Bob. What a wonderful, happy guy! I will always remember him fondly, as I do you Donna. It ha been years since we have seen each other, however we worked together for years and were friends forever. You hosted Suzette's baby shower when she was pregnant with her first child, Joshua, who is now married himself.

Donna, my prayers are continually with you during your healing, and during this painful and difficult time of your loss and the loss of your entire family!

I lost my son Chris (age 47) on October 4th. The grief is ovrewhelming.

I will be keeping tabs on you in the course of your healing. Know you are loved, missed and wished the very best.

Love & prayers,
Verone Reynolds

How appropriate to refer to Bobby as a "Hero" because that is how he represented himself. The many days I saw him arrive carrying a card table to play pinochle with his father-in-law at Brentwood Convalescent Hospital was very touching and I would think to myself, "what a special person Bobby is". My heartfelt condolences are extended to Donna and the family. I can imagine all the memories Bobby has left behind. May God bless each of you and your families. Bobby will be missed.

Dear Donna and family,
Like others before me, I only wish we had magic words to make everything better.
I join the others who's heart aches for your pain and loss.
My memories go back through grade school and high school ~ you were always a good friend.
Bob is the blessed one now, in no pain, and reunited with your daughter, and other predeceased family and friends.
For you and the surviving family and friends I can only pray for the Great Physician's healing, our Loving Father's peace, and His Words of comforting reassurances in this very difficult time.
love and prayers,
as ever,

Dear Donna & family, I have fond memories of both Bobby & Donna from our high school days in Red Bluff. I remember Bobby worked at Wentz Market then and my Dad was his boss. Those were good days for all of us. I have said prayers for both Bobby and Donna and I will keep my prayers going for Donna's recovery. May God Bless you all.

Dear Donna & Family:
There is little comfort in words in your time of such great sorrow. Only God can mend such brokeness. Donna only a month ago we spoke of how you prayed for me 43yrs. ago & how God at an instant answered the prayer. I have been praying that God will return that prayer to you & you will have favor with a complete healing.
In prayer for you & your family.
Love You
Sonja

We will miss seeing Bob's smiling face every Sunday morning at church. He was always so cheerful. Beware, though, if you would park in "his" parking spot! He will be missed by both Darrell and I.
