So many fond memories of Annabelle and George from all those years ago. So hard to believe we lost them so many years ago. They will always be in my heart. I can't help but laugh or smile every time I think of them. Loved working on costumes with Annabelle. She was a master and I learned so much from her. And George, what a great person. He also taught me so much about theatre. He was another Showtimers great that we lost way to early. They both will be forever missed. God bless and rest in peace.

I will always remember George & Annabelle's Christmas Eve parties. I loved them both. I was so fortunate to share the love of theatre with them through Showtimers.

I am so saddened by the news of Annabelle's passing. I worked with George and Annabelle on so many plays at Showtimers. They were such fun and so talented. I used to help Annabelle with costumes and George with sets and lights - or whatever needed doing at Showtimers. Annabelle and I have kept in touch in I moved away in 1992. She will truly be missed. Stacy, my heart goes out to you and your family. God bless.

I knew Annabelle from Showtimer's community theatre in the 80's and 90's. She was a force in herself and a hoot to be around. I made many, many costumes for her and learned a bunch about organization, hard work and friendship. My thoughts and prayers go out to Annabelle's loved ones.

So Sorry to learn of her passing. I have many fond memories of Annabelle. The coat she wove for the Showtimer's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, was a masterpiece itself. I feel fortunate to have known her, and to have been a part of the theatre family. Blessings to you during this difficult time.

I'm glad I knew her for over 50 years. She and George mentored me when I was a teenager. It is a loss for the arts in Roanoke. Rest in peace, Annabelle.

Oh Stacey, this is so crazy, I was just thinking about your Mom and wanted to go out and "pick her brain" about a show. Your Dad, Bob Ayers and my Mom all passed away in 1987. Where has time gone?? I still remember you and Lyn as little kids, in so many plays with George and your Mom in the basement, the parties! I am truly sorry and wish I had just gone last week like I was planning! Love to you and yours, Mary Anne

Stacy and Ross: I am so sorry to read about the passing your Mom, Annabelle. I don't know how many years it has been since I saw her or even the two of you. I have very fond memories many years ago of Annabelle and all that she taught me. I will be thinking of you both during this time. Your "old" friend, Brenda Roop
