ROBERT ROY KLIEBE, 84 WINNEBAGO - Father left for everlasting freedom and peace, while surrounded by family and friends Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Robert Roy Kliebe was born March 21, 1927, in Rockford to Elva Arbogast Kliebe and Fred August Kliebe. He lived his entire life in Winnebago County. Father met his best friend for life, Jeanette Porter, and on Sept. 5, 1945, they were joined in marriage. Father worked hard for so many years to provide for his family; Quaker Oats, trucking, plumbing, metal works and then one of his favorites, building beautiful homes in the Rock River Valley as Kliebe Builders. Father is survived by his best friend and wife of 65 years, Jeanette; sons, Fred and Jod (Sandra); grandchildren, Kelly of Los Angeles, Joshua of Rockford and Melinda (Neil) Miller of Chandler, Ariz.; special nephews, Jack (Vicky) and Bobby (Shelley Moen) Rowley of Winnebago; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; sisters-in-law, Jenny Kliebe, Jan Kliebe and Evelyn Podesta; and brother-in-law, Fred Scroggins. Father was predeceased by his parents; in-laws; sisters, Ila, June, Jayne and Renae; and by brothers, Virgil, Wayne and Kenny. We would like to share our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kilaru, Dr. Schroeder and Dr. Nicole Hartsough, as well as Northern Illinois Hospice, for all the wonderful care you all gave Father as we traveled this journey. We thank father and mother's friends for your camaraderie, friendship and love for them both over the years. Your loving and caring support is invaluable. Thank you. According to Father's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There are to be no services. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
