Todd Hansmeier Obituary

TODD A. HANSMEIER, 37 ROCKFORD - Todd Allen Hansmeier, 37, of Rockford, lost his life on June 30, 2014. He was born April 2, 1977, in Beloit, WI to Gary Hansmeier and Carolyn Bruhn-Hansmeier. He graduated from Hononegah High School in 1995, and attended Rock Valley College. He was a Dean's List student at Eastern Illinois University where he received a degree in finance in 2000. Todd was a Senior Vice President at Apple Insurance in Roscoe. He was active in the community and was a member of IGNITE. He had a contagious smile, made friends with everyone he met, and lived life to the fullest. Todd is survived by his parents; his brothers, Brett (Nina Mani), Brian (Lori) Hansmeier; and his niece and nephew, Bryn and Brogan Hansmeier. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. July 8, 2014, in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory - Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, in the funeral home, and again from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of service. Im sorry for your loss. Mr. and Mrs. Hansmeier. I worked with your son at American Tv ,back in the day. He always had a smile on his face. His presence cheered up the whole room. Rest in peace Todd. May the Lord sooth the Hansmeier family in the time of loss and grief.

I played sand volleyball against Todd for many years - such a friendly guy. His dad would often come watch, and the closeness between the 2 of them was obvious. My thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

Hansmeier Family- Did not know Todd but from all I have read he was a wonderful person. So sorry for your loss and hoping you find strength during this sad time. I viewed on TV heard and seen Todd friend chad talked highly about him and I know in my heart god has taken from all a wonderful loving caring young man.my condolences. I have many memories of Todd from our days at EIU. He was such a fun, happy go luck guy! He always made everyone laugh and smile! He did not deserve what happened to him. I have many fond memories of Todd, and he will live in my memories forever! Sending prayers to his family!
