JEFFREY LEE HANSON, 60 BELVIDERE - Jeffrey Lee Hanson, 60, of Belvidere passed away peacefully on July 28, 2015, in South Beloit. Born September 25, 1954, in Rockford. Jeff grew up in Rockford, Goshen, Ind., and Belvidere. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1972, where he was active most notably in band and played the cornet. He attended NIU 1972-1974. Jeff was very proud to be a lifelong sports fan for many teams, but first and foremost for the Green Bay Packers. He was an avid electric train collector and his pride and joy was his extensive N gauge train table and accessories. Jeff worked in a home based business for most of his life, both in San Diego, CA and Belvidere. Jeff will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to be a great friend. Survived by his sisters, Cathy (Jerry) Mayer of Baton Rouge, LA, Marsha (Wil) Schoenrock of Herriman, Utah, and Lisa (Darren) Story of Bristol, VA; brother, Bradley Hanson of Memphis, TN; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Daniel, Michael, Michelle, Zachary, Miracle, Vanessa, Matthew and Maclain; great-nieces, Chloe and Ivana Lisse; great-nephews, Andrew and Easton; and his best friend of 45 years, Terry T-Bone Lee of Belvidere, and his children, Chad (Amy), Cory (Danielle), Chelsey and Makenzie.
