Betty H. Bushaw, 91, of Rockford, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center. Born January 1, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Roy and Ellen (Warner) Peltier. Graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School class of 1943 and later married her loving husband, John F. Bushaw on June 1, 1946 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Betty and John were faithful members of St. Bernadette's for several years. She was a proud wife, mother and grandmother and she devoted her life to her family. Her sweet smile and warm embrace will be missed dearly by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to the staff at Rosewood Care Center, Heartland Hospice and to Rogene Wolfe, Clara Waelti and Shirley and Jerry Goranson for always lending a helping hand when Betty and John needed one. Survivors include her children, Gary (Doris) Bushaw of Rockford, Diane (Jim) Morley of Caledonia and Tim (Lynette) Bushaw of Rockton; grandchildren, Shawn and Nathan Bushaw; David (Jessica) and Jason (Amy) Morley and Laura Bushaw; great-granddaughter, Kaia Morley; step-grandchildren, Steve, Jason and Brad Arnold and Vicky Dean and several step great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, granddaughter, Kimberly Rose Bushaw and great-grandson, Mitchell Bushaw.
Funeral service Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
