Jamie Strait-Mickelson Obituary
Jamie Lynn Strait-Mickelson, 51, of Freeport, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, after a long illness. She was the "Precious Child of God", baptized into the Christian Faith. Her struggle is over and she has been set "free." Jamie was born February 4, 1966, in Rockford. She attended Rockford Schools. She lived the last 17 years in Freeport with her family before her death. She is survived by her father, John (Mary) Strait; sons, Kris (Angie) and Nick Louis; daughters, Jenniffer and Jesselyn Mickelson; brothers, Matthew and Harold Jr. Dishman; and 3 grandson, and 2 granddaughters. Predeceased by her husband, Brad Mickelson; mother, Diane Dishman; and grandparents, Mary and Chester Strait.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave. Rockford with Rev. Dean Parker officiating. Graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. in New Milford Cemetery. To share a memory or online condolence, visit olsonfh.com.
