Irene Hegarty Obituary
Irene Martha Hegarty, 89, of Belvidere, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was born August 29, 1928, in Chicago, to Samuel and Martha Lavin. Soon after high school graduation, Irene married James A. Hegarty, her husband for thirty-three years. She will be truly missed. Survivors include, her children, Jim, Joe, and Pat (Theresa) Hegarty; and granddaughter, Laura (Eric Buehlman) Mcmahon. Predeceased by, her husband, parents, daughter, Mary Cay Hegarty, daughter-in-law, Gail Hegarty, grandson, Bobby Starzec.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford. Memorial visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
