Chris was truly a kind and sincere person and My heart breaks terribly for your loss . Words seem so inefficient at a time like this to express how sorry I am for you and how much his passing will be felt by you and so many others. He was just one of the good guys. He would call me out of the blue a few times a year just to make sure I was still working my Thursday nights at Two Brothers and then he'd come by and visit. He certainly was your child when it came to visiting family and staying in touch :) he cared and took time to make an effort to stay in touch. I will treasure those memories of him and his visits always. I pray that your memories, in time, will give you a measure of peace knowing that you raised a wonderful son and that he was indeed loved by many because of his kind spirit and good natured ways. Love to you always.

Mr. and Mrs. Hardy,

You won't remember me but my brother John Phillips and Chris were great friends as young boys and were able to reconnect when Chris moved to Maryville to work for Energizer with my dad, Ed Phillips. My mom, brother and I send our deepest condolences to the two of you and will continue to keep you in our prayers. Chris is a part of our family memories and I will never forget the images of he and John just having a ball together both as young boys and again later in life. He will be missed.

So sad to hear of the accident. We have such fond memories of Chris both in Harvest Hills and Maryville MO. He surprised Jill and John by showing up in our kitchen - John's words were "Well, Chris Hardy!" They picked up from where they left off and enjoyed each other's company. What a neat guy. Our memories of him are so special.
