Rolla M. Jasmin Jr.

WEST RUTLAND - Rolla M. Jasmin Jr., 93, of West Rutland died Tuesday afternoon July 14, 2015 at the Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Rolla Jasmin Jr. was born February 3, 1922 to Rolla M. Jasmin Sr and Iona Bell. He married Fern Eno, raised two sons, James and Raleigh. He was a member of the Army and USAF in WWII (SSGT).

He belonged to many organizations as follows: Royal Order of the Moose. He was also a life member of the VFW Post #648, also The Cairo Temple where he was a Past Director, Order of Jesters #105, The Masons #79, and The American Legion Post #31.

He was last employed by the city of Rutland as a water treatment manager, from 1956 to 1987.

He is survived by his present wife Bea; a son James and his wife Patricia and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and his wife Mary and their three sons, and Sidney and his wife Teresa and their five children; a sister-in-law Elizabeth, two former daughter-in-laws Kathy and Pamela and her daughter Jennifer and partner Matthew Holthaus. He is also survived by his home care provider Pat Leonard, his traveling buddy Harold Fish, and his golfing buddies Bud Cox, Mike Granvelle, and Bud Earle. He is also survived by Bae Noble and her fiance John Rappa from Florida.

Rolla is predeceased by his brother Bobbie, wife Fern, and his son Raleigh.

Calling hours will be held Friday July 17 from 4-7 p.m. at the Aldous Funeral Home, with a sharing time and a Legion and Mason Ceremony following at 7 p.m.

A burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery by the water fountain at a later date.
