Betty Root Obituary

ROOT, BETTY L.
(Nee Mitchell) Passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee, WI at the age of 70. Survivors include two children, Ann (Ken Rauscher) Root of Seattle, WA and Tom (Jean) Root of New Berlin, WI; two grandchildren, Steve Root and Jim Root of New Berlin, WI; two sisters, Wanda Busen and Clara Kunkel, both of Mt. Sterling, IL; and 20 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loa and Hazel Mitchell, and one sister, Erma Logsdon. Betty was a registered nurse, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She lived in Sacramento, CA for the last 16 years. A private service was held on Thursday, February 13, 2002, at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or The Nature Conservancy are preferred.
