Azeneth Hernandez Obituary

Azeneth Hernandez went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 6, 2018. She was 88 years old. She was a resident of Citrus Heights for 58 years and is survived by her daughter, Miriam Hernandez-Garcia and her son, Carlos Hernandez III; her grandchildren, Jonathan V. Hernandez, Lara A. Garcia, and Jacqueline N. Hernandez; siblings, Joel Mojica, Martha Grijalva, Homer Mojica, and Rachel Nino and many nephews and nieces in both California and Texas. Azeneth was born in Uvalde, Texas on August 9, 1929 to Miguel and Paz Mojica. When she was a young girl, Azeneth came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. In 1955, she married Carlos Hernandez and in 1960, they moved their family to California. They became members of Northgate Southern Baptist Church where she actively served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher. She also enjoyed taking care of the babies and small children in the church nursery and singing in the church choir. In 1981, her husband was ordained as Pastor of the church. Azeneth embraced her role as the Pastor's wife and faithfully served alongside him until he retired in 2014. Carlos and Azeneth were married for 62 years. Throughout her life, Azeneth was a true example of God's love, devotion and faithfulness. Her greatest joys were spending time with family, watching her grand-children grow up and serving in her church. For condolences, please visit: www.dignitymemorial.com.
