Marcus Ortega Obituary

Marcus Ortega
In Loving Memory
Salt Lake City, UT-Marcus Ortega, a son, brother, father, boyfriend, cousin, grandson, and friend was suddenly taken from us. He was a great person who cared about everybody and always wanted to help out in any way he could. He was a big teddy bear and his family was his priority and his little sister's and kids were his whole life. He was a Denver Broncos fan, gamer, into great movies and comics. He was always joking around and always made people laugh. Now he is in a better place, happy watching over his family and friends. Marcus is survived by his parents, Gino Ortega and Arlene DeHerrera, his children Isabella Ortega and Marcus Ortega Jr., sisters Sabrina and Rain Ortega, his girlfriend Latisha Goodman, grandparents Marilyn DeHerrera and Isaac DeHerrera, and many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. Marcus is preceded in death by his great grandma Marian Paul, Uncle Don DeHerrera, grandma Boatie, and other family members. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 6 to 8 at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, 2:00 PM, with a viewing one hour prior to the service at Redwood Memorial Mortuary. We go all the way back to middle school. My daughter and yours became more than just cousins, they were best friends. Never even thought you'd go so soon. It just proves that the good die young. My love and respect goes out to you and your family. Gonna miss your snappy come backs, always embarrassed me but it was always funny. Rest in paradise my good friend.

Marcus was one of my best friends & cousins. I will miss having you in my life. I watched him walk to school growing up, ive watched him grow into a man, and then into a good father, it took him a little stress to figure things out, he cryd a couple times about how worried he was when it came to his kids, and i cant seem to except that i gotta grow old without him. ill miss our talks about life. I love you marcus and i promise you will never be forgotten.

I went to Elementary with Marcus Parkview, to be exact. I remember a funny time
about Marcus. We were in 3\4 grade, he would ask to go to the bathroom, then he would just leave. I don't know if he lived nearby, or if his grandparents did. (Remember that Marcus) that was epic especially back in those days. You were taken WAY to was fast. RIP Marcus

To our Friend Marcus. So young, so sad, never to be forgotten. Thank you Gino, Aunt Josie and Uncle Victor for bringing him to Grandma Leybas house. He was so cute and handsome. Aunt Josie you treated Marcus like your children, so sweet.
