Yvonne Fisher Obituary

1935 ~ 2015
Yvonne Derrick Fisher (79) passed away on April 11, 2015 in Danville, CA. She was born on August 23, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Elwood Glade and Pearl Kimball Derrick. She was the oldest of four daughters and grew up in Omaha, NE and Chicago, IL. She attended BYU and graduated from Arizona State University.
She married H. Leonard Fisher on Aug. 2, 1968 in Oakland, CA. She lived the rest of her life in CA., where she worked as a social worker, massage therapist and spiritual healer. She had a compassionate heart and always wanted to ease the pain of others. She was generous to a fault. She loved San Francisco and the arts and liked nothing better than a good book, beautiful music, an entertaining movie, or delicious food.
Voni is survived by her loving husband Leonard Fisher, three sisters-Kathleen Pyper (John), Dorothy Felix (Roger), Janice Curtis (Steve, deceased), and many nieces and nephews who love her and will miss her. Condolences may be sent via email to Len at [email protected]. Donations may be made in her honor to the Utah Food Bank or Meals on Wheels.
