Aimee Wilson Obituary

AIMEE LEAMING WILSON
Mar 12, 1971~Oct 12, 2016
Salt Lake City, UT-Our beautiful Aimee passed away October 12, 2016 at the age of 45 of breast cancer. She was born March 12, 1971 to Lorraine Bailey and John Ted "Lux" Leaming in Salt Lake City. She was raised by her parents, Lorraine and Jerry Moreland, who love her beyond measure. She married E.J. Barlocker in 1993 and had a son, Jackson, who is her angel. In 2003, she married Mark Wilson and found her soul mate and partner to share her life with. Aimee graduated from Murray High School in 1988 and Utah State University in 1992 where she was Treasurer then President of Chi Omega Sorority. She earned a Masters in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix. Aimee worked 24+ years in health care with Valley Mental Health and University of Utah Hospital and Clinics. In 2016, just prior to her cancer diagnosis, she started working at O.C. Tanner where she was Senior Vice President of People and Great Work. It was at O.C. Tanner that she found a place of true magic, genuine kindness and beauty. Aimee loved running, biking, hiking, hockey, her pets. She loved beautiful things, jewelry, fashion, art, music, and poetry; all things kind and beautiful. She is survived by her husband, Mark; her son, Jackson; her parents, Jerry & Lorraine Moreland; and her grandmother, Evelyn Arnold. Also survived by many other relatives and friends who adored her. Although she had no siblings, she found the best sisters of all, her friends, and they know who they are. She was preceded in death by her father, Lux Leaming and her grandfather, Bill Arnold. Her final wish was that everyone always be kind to one another.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 18, from 6-9 p.m. at Memorial Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, October 19, at noon, with visitation one hour prior at the same location. Interment will be at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Utah. Memory contributions may be made in her name to Huntsman Cancer Institute.

I really appreciate that she treats us all the same, no matter who we are. She always smiled and said Hello when we saw each other in the hall. She really made a good impression on me and I respected her very much, and I will miss her smile. She is an amazing person.
