Alfred Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS
Dr. Alfred V. Williams went to be with the Lord in Heaven after a long fight with cancer. He passed away in his home surrounded by his family on December 22, 2011. He was a remarkable man who will be remembered for his intelligence, sense of humor, determination and devotion to his family. He is survived by his three children: Lisa, fiancé Dean and son Jaydon; Linda and son Devon; Lee, wife Teri and daughter Haley; Peggy Trainor, mother of his three children. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Cawthon, Dean Gary, Darrell Gary, Dwayne Gary and Sandra Evans as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends; and wife, Guadalupe. Alfred was born in Norman Oklahoma on 11/14/40 to Charles Williams and Dorothy Jones. He later moved to Texas, graduated from Alamo Heights High School, attended A&M University and graduated from Trinity University; He later graduated from UT Galveston Medical School. He served in the army and had a successful career as a psychiatrist until his retirement when he then owned and operated his own business. He loved playing the guitar and 'jamming' with his friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing tennis and had a passion for animals and talking politics. A memorial service to honor Alfred will be on Wednesday 12/28/11 at Funeral Caring, USA, located at 6500 IH35N in San Antonio from 10am-12n.

Well Al, as you know, the jam band you started is still going on. In fact, we are jamming again this Saturday. You really started something there 25 years ago. Ran into Lisa few weeks back, and she looked happy and successful. Peace brother

Al, my guitar playing buddy, we will miss you. You were the one who brought our band together and maintained it over the years. Thanks for your spirit of love and creativity and devotion to family and friends. You are the Best and we will truly miss you. Be sure to save a place for us in that jam band in the sky.
