Gilbert Barrera Obituary
Gilbert G. Barrera, 67, of San Antonio, Texas died Sunday June 23, 2013. He was born to the late Lauro and Bonifacia Barrera on January 29, 1946. He was the proud owner of his roofing business. He loved life, music, and loved to play the accordion. He was a very happy and positive person who was well liked by his workers and neighbors. Gilbert touched many people's hearts during his life and will never be forgotten. He is now in heaven playing his accordion and singing to our Holy Father. He is survived by Sandra Villarreal Barrera; daughter, Melissa Barrera and her mother Angie Hernandez. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher Gilbert Barrera and Angelica Marie Barrera; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
SERVICES:
Visitation will be Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 3pm until 8pm with Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels - South. A funeral procession will depart Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 9:30am for a 10am graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery No. II.
