What a void in life for those of us that think about you these past three years with love and grief.
You were such an inspiration, your love for your family and the people you helped for many years with your work.
Your pride in your children and for your beloved wife.
Your creative love for art and music and all things wonderful. Missing you now and always.

Bill ...
You changed the world to a better place. You blessed the lives of many especially mine. You are the singer, writer and dreamer that always outshined.
Thank you for always making my life brighter and being my cheering section even with a tough audience. You will always be remembered.

Bill was a great friend over the years and it took a year for me to find out about this. He was very supportive of my work in radio (called in on our membership drive a few times), funny, ridiculously smart, stubborn and wonderful. He was at my house in the fall of 1976 and I had just purchased Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" album. The title song was becoming a hit, but we had only heard pieces of it until it played in full on the stereo. There's that guitar build-up in the song and then a surprise, almost searing saxophone solo that follows. When the saxophone started, we both started cheering. I'll never forget that moment. My best wishes to family and friends of "the Bill." What a loss.

I attended Texas Lutheran College with Bill and I just now heard of his passing. So sad as he was too young. He is in Heaven singing with the angels.

I just heard of his passing and wish I could have attended services. I had cases with Bill and regardless of how frustrating things could be at times, he was always friendly and professional. I used to love seeing his smile whenever I ran into him. He was the type of person you went out of your way to say hello to. He seemed to be not only in the courthouse but a part of it as well. I will miss him as a person and as a part of our "legal" family. You will shine bright in heaven. My sincere condolences to his family. Please contact me if I can help at all.

It Was a great pleasure and honor to work with Bill Baskette as a representative for the Sarina Sanchez family on a current case. Bill always took the time to explain things and was in the process of trying to correct some very grevious wrongdoings. I know God will continue to richly bless Bill and his family and that his legal endeavors will continue to have a positive influence on the South Texas community even after his Passing ...on behalf of Sarina, Maria, Sonny, and Sammy Sanchez

I will certainly miss "Billy" in the halls and courtrooms of the courthouse. He always had a kind word and calendar or a pen with his info on it! I will especially miss him on Thursdays, because as he left his office, he would walk through the Cadillac Bar patio where me and friends meet for cigars. "Billy Basket" I would yell and he'd always turn and send his best!
God Bless You Bill and the entire Baskette family.
