Elaine Port was a fixture of our childhood, bringing culture and the arts to our sleepy little town and in the friendship she shared with our mother, Judith. As adults, we discovered the wonderful wit and fierce intelligence of a woman way ahead of her time. She will be greatly missed.

God speed Elaine. We never seemed to be able to get together often enough, however, when we did it was always delightful. My deep condolences to Jack and all her family and friends. Elaine was a gift to everyone she knew.

To Mr. Port and family, my sincere condolences to you all as you mourn the passing of your beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, your Elaine. I met Mrs. Port in the dining room at Rancho Valencia and remember her as a lovely woman with a beautiful smile. Mr. Port may remember me as his favorite waitress at RVR. May the love you shared plus many happy memories bring you peace at this difficult time. Sincerely Janet Gonzales

To Elaine's family,
Am so sorry you have lost your wonderful Elaine. She was an inspiration to all of the Hospice of the North Coast volunteers, for her many years of giving. To me personally I dearly loved this lovely, talented and wonderful lady and am heartsick she is no longer with us.
