Dr. Linda Renée Miller has passed away peacefully in her Santa Cruz, California home. She joyously circled the sun 62 times and made a lasting impact on her family, friends, and patients.
Linda earned a BS in Chemistry Magna Cum Laude from Temple University and her medical degree from George Washington University. With the Ruhland Scholarship Linda did research at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Panama. A residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a fellowship in Gastroenterology from Temple University Hospital soon followed. Honors and awards include the Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Honorary Citizen of New Orleans, Fellow's Research Award, and the Merck Award.
Linda shared her expertise as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Louisiana State University and Clinical Instructor of Medicine Temple University School of Medicine. Despite her multiple hospital appointments and committees, Linda consistently shared laughter, empathy, and compassion with her colleagues, friends and patients.
Linda's humanitarian medical work included the RotaCare Free Medical Clinic, Karimu Tanzania Medical Relief, Santa Cruz Juvenile Hall, and the Cristo Santo Medical Relief in Granada, Nicaragua. She mirrored the love of God and left a trail of joy wherever she stepped.
Linda's greatest joy, above all else, is her amazing son, Dan. The love for her only child is unstoppable. Blessings go to the rest of her family.
A virtual gathering will be scheduled to celebrate Linda at a future date. Condolences may be mailed to Dan Miller Pedersen at 490 Tristania Ter. Sunnyvale, CA 94086. Dr. Linda Miller was one in 1 billion she was an incredible doctor with great wisdom a huge heart and love for all I know that heaven lit up at her arrival!! Her legacy will live on and her rewards in heaven are great!

To me, you exemplified motherlove to its fullest. Through all the years our sons were close friends, three aspects of you shone brightly: your intelligence and generosity, and your wholehearted devotion to your Dan. He has grown into an extraordinary young man whose heart and mind bear your legacy. If angels exist, then you undoubtedly smile upon Dan with grace and pride.

Linda, thank you for your living example of how we all might be.

No words can describe the incredible goodness in this women ! She did so much for Leelu and I. She was as everyone knew and angel on earth!! She made me a better person!
