Linda, I'm going to speak to you as if you still can hear me, because my fiercest wish is that your spirit lives on and that you can. -- I'd moved away and did not learn of your death until just now ...
To me, you exemplified motherlove to its fullest. Through all the years our sons were close friends, three aspects of you shone brightly: your intelligence and generosity, and your wholehearted devotion to your Dan. He has grown into an extraordinary young man whose heart and mind bear your legacy. If angels exist, then you undoubtedly smile upon Dan with grace and pride.
Linda, thank you for your living example of how we all might be.
