GLORIA MARIE WELLMAN Gloria Marie Wellman, age 85, of Bradenton, Florida, died peacefully in Hospice care with friends and family by her side on June 22, 2016 after a year-long fight with Alzheimer's. A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at 11:OO am, July 9th, at the chapel of Owens Brumley Funeral Home, 1317 9th St., Wichita Falls, Texas. Her Pastor-Teacher, Herman Maddox of Spring Valley Bible Church in Dallas, will be officiating. Gloria was born October 9, 1930 in Graham, Texas, to James T. Wellman and Opal Vernon Wellman. She grew up in the Wichita Falls area and graduated from Lubbock High School. She attended Texas Tech University and Midwestern University, majoring in Art. Gloria is survived by a son, Steve Seabury, of Bradenton, Florida, and a daughter Sandy Seabury Mahoney, of Stockton, California. Another daughter, Cynthia Seabury, preceded her in death. Gloria was a loving mother, sister, counselor and Bible teacher whose spirit touched all who knew her. She was involved in Young Life Ministries in Wichita Falls and throughout her life led many to Christ. She attended the First Methodist Church and Grace Church in Wichita Falls and First Baptist Church in Santa Fe, NM where she lived for 38 years. Gloria was a prolific and acclaimed artist whose oil paintings sold in Santa Fe. Her last year was spent in Bradenton, Florida. Survivors include two sisters, Donna Taigen and brother-in-law F.K. "Skeet" Taigen of Dublin, California, and Beverly Ryan of Wichita Falls, Texas. Another sister, Billie Robinson, and a brother James "Dutch" Wellman, preceded her in death.
