John Cotton Obituary

PORTSMOUTH - John N. "Jack" Cotton, 73, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Edwin Morgan and Myra Newell (Orchard) Cotton. Jack attended San Marino High School.

He served his country for more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a flight simulator technician.

Jack was the owner and operator of Foam Busters, a draft beer system maintenance service on the Seacoast of New Hampshire.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Kimberly Music; son Jackie Brown; sisters Molly Paaso and Polly Dulin; brother Edwin Cotton; and nieces and nephews Darell Cotton, David Cotton, Marilyn Stepp, Chris Jensen, Jennifer Aver, Brent Jensen, Tracy Paaso and Kristie Paaso.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Mary E. (Fagan) Cotton, on June 27, 2008.

SERVICES: A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home - Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TREA, Memorial Foundation, 1111 S. Abilene Ct. Aurora, CO 80012. I knew Jack for more than 20yrs.I first met Jack when we were both stationed at Pease AFB.We worked together on the FB-111A Flight Simulator.He was a good friend and I'll sorely miss him.
