Irene Zimmerman Obituary
Irene Margaret Barcott Zimmerman, 96, of Bothell, WA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017. She was born December 18, 1920 in Anacortes, WA, the daughter of the late Anton and Maria (Suryan) Barcott. She had 1 brother and 3 sisters. Irene was raised by her aunt and uncle, Paul and Klema (Suryan) Bosnich. She remained close to all her family throughout her life.
Irene married Roland C. Zimmerman on January 6, 1945 in Anacortes, WA. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1984. Irene was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church in Bothell and also a member of the Mary Ann Bothell Orthopedic Guild. She volunteered at the Bothell City Hall for many years and also at the Northshore Senior Center. She enjoyed painting, traveling and playing bridge, poker and pinochle.
Irene took great pride in her family and will be remembered with love by them all. Irene is survived by her son, Tom (Katherine) Zimmerman and daughter, Paula (Kim) Lyle; their three children, Nick Lyle, Jeff Lyle, and Katie (Tim) Mackey; and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass was celebrated at
Friday, October 6, 2017
at St. Brendan Catholic Church.
