David Bruce CLEMENTS Age 74, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away January 14th after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Dave was born August 4, 1932 to Samuel and Leona Clements. He grew up in Ballard and was a proud graduate of Ballard High School. He graduated from the University of Washington Business School in 1955 followed by serving 18 months in the U.S. Army. In 1958 Dave launched his 40-year career as a CPA, eventually co-owning his own firm, Lockitch, Clements & Rice, until retirement six years ago. Dave is survived by his wife, Alison, and their three sons, Scott, Jon and Charley (Mary Beth) and granddaughter, Paige, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother, Bob, and two sisters, Elsie and Ruth. Dave loved his family and many friends. He was an "outdoors" guy -- enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, golfing and seaplane flying. He was actively involved with Seattle Golf Club, Ironwood Country Club, Seniors' North West Golf Assoc., Washington State Seniors' Golf Assoc., Palm Springs Desert Senior Golf Assoc., Ballard High School Foundation, Washington Athletic Club and The Committee of Twenty-Five, Palm Springs, CA. He supported his profession and held numerous Board positions throughout his life. Since retirement, he has enjoyed homes in Edmonds (with his boat and Golf Club close by) and in Palm Desert, CA for warmer "outdoor" winter-month weather. Dave will be remembered for his engaging laugh, warm and outgoing personality and keen sense of humor along with his commitment to family, friends and community. A Memorial Service will be held at the Seattle Golf Club, 210 NW 145th, Seattle, WA., at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20th, followed by a Reception to celebrate Dave's Life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ballard High School Foundation, P. O. Box 17626, Seattle, WA 98127 or a charity of your choice. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I will miss David so much. The sound of his laughter. He had such a loving aura. The moment he entered a room you could feel his presence. Dear Dave you leave me with so many happy memories and such a sad heart. I know we will meet again one day soon! (and you had better be waiting for me!!)

Allison:
I will greatly miss Dave, and especially our golf together. He was great fun, a good competitor, and always had a cheerful attitude.
Barbara and I will retain wonderful memories of our couples' golf, as well. We always looked forward to our times together.
Love to all,
Leon and Barbara Gardner

Dave will be missed by many of us. I worked with Dave for more than 20 years at the CPA firm in Seattle and enjoyed our occasional lunch gatherings here in the desert. His wisdom, strength, and humor were always inspiring.
