Carmelita Waechter Obituary

Carmelita Frances Waechter 1923 - 2010 Died peacefully on August 7, 2010 at the home of her daughter Madeline Bottari in Redwood City . She was devoted to her family and lived a rich, full and active life. Carmelita was born September 3, 1923, in San Francisco , California . She was the daughter of William and Madeline Clancy and the sister of William, Madeline and Thomas Clancy. She married her beloved husband Andrew L. Waechter in 1948, they were married for 41 years until he passed away in 1989. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, William and Tom. She is survived by her sister, Madeline Clancy; her five children, Madeline, Andrew, Joseph, David and James; daughter-in-law's, Linda, Annie and Sharon Waechter; son-in-law, Steve Bottari; grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Andrea, Elisse, Melinda, John, Bianca, Alexa, David, Christopher, Natalie, Camille, Kevin and Patrick; three great grandchildren, Andrew, Madeline and Ava Raye. Friends may visit on Tuesday, August 10, after 5:00 pm and are invited to attend a vigil service at 7:00 pm at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. A funeral mass and celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, August 11, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius Catholic Church, 1100 Woodside Road, Redwood City with interment following at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma. Donations in Carmelita's name can be made to Pathways Hospice Foundation, 585 N. Mary Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94085-2905.
