Norman:
You must have been one terrific Father as Dagmar is one of the worlds most special people. I know she adored you as she spoke of you so often during stories of her childhood and dealings with her own children. Always coming close to tears with love and admiration each time your name came up. It is one of the regrets of my life that you and I never had the chance to meet. I think we would have gotten along just fine. In honor of your request, I will take Dagmar to lunch in hopes of hearing more stories of you.

Denise and Debra, bridge friends, I am so sorry for your loss. Norman looks like a man who was definitely too young to die. When the obituary appeared I was struck by the photo and read the words about his wonderful life aloud to my family at the breakfast table. At the time I didn't make the connection...little did I know that I was friends with his family. Best wishes to you during this difficult time.

I didn't know Norm, but was so charmed by his obituary in the SF Chron that I cut it out, scanned it, and sent it to my aunt......I just wrote the obit for my Grandmother earlier this month and so this was particuarly topical. He sounds like a real 'old school San Franciscan' and a classic man. I am so sorry for your loss.....and I will definitely take someone special out to lunch.

I did not know Norm, but this is one of the most wonderful obituaries I have come across. I am sorry for your loss, but it sounds like there are some truly wonderful memories.
