Venita Howell Obituary
Born in Cleveland County on June 28, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Cephas Cone Howell and Mary Lee Costner Howell. She was retired from Harris Teeter. She was an active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of Cedar Lake Community Center.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a niece Pamela Beam Howell.
She is survived by her loving brother, Roger Howell and wife Peggy; nephew Norris W. Howell; great nephew, Samuel Norris Howell; great niece, Abby Beam Howell; special companion, Brownie Elmo and numerous loving extended family members.
Miss Howell will lie in repose on Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home. The family will not be in attendance during this time.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Alice Day and Randi Godfrey officiating.
Memorials may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, c/o Doris Wilson, 147 Latham Wilson Road, Lawndale, NC 28090.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions it is requested that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.

I worked with Venita at Harris Teeter in the late 80's to early 90's. She was such a joy to work with and she constantly spoke of her nephew Norris. I saw her a few months ago in Walmart and she knew who I was as soon as she saw me after all of these years. It was good to reconnect. May you all be blessed with strength during this time.
