Cora Mae Howell

On December 31, 2025, Cora Mae Howell of Prichard, AL passed

away at the age 63. She was born September 4, 1962, and daughter

of the late Richard Howell Sr. and Ida Mae Howell.

Cora graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School in 1980, where

she was a dedicated member of the school marching band playing

the clarinet. She also worked at Mobile County Public School

Transportation for 26 years. She enjoyed spending time with family

and always taking care of others. She was a devoted and loving

mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to everyone around her.

Cora was predeceased by her parents, Richard Howell Sr., Ida Mae

Howell; three brothers, Joseph Howell (deceased), Richard

Howell Jr., Christopher Howell; sister, Lisa Taldon; and

stepmother/special friend Betty Ann Howell.

She is survived by her three devoted sons, Damion Raynard

Howell, Michael Jermaine Howell, D'Anthony Jawuan Howell;

two grandchildren, Deijah Howell and Dyllan Howell; numerous

nieces and nephews, including Rayshaud Howell, Richard Howell

III, Blakeley Williams, Destinee Thomas, Tiliano Holcombe, Kim

Holcombe-Laurent, Joseph Holcombe, India Millinder,

Christopher Howell, Christian Howell, Alasia Howell, Aria

Howell, and Kingston Howell.

She will also be fondly remembered by her dear friends and cousins

Lenora Hackworth, LaShonda Allen, Angela Taldon, and Angela

Harmon.
