Gregory Howell Obituary
Gregory was a family man with 3 children, 1 grandchild, and a beautiful wife that he treasured and loved everyday for over 38 years. His unwavering dedication to living everyday of his life to the fullest often started with long morning walks and ended with crackling bonfires and games of darts in his retirement. Not only was he a family man, loved by every person he encountered, he was also an artist who twisted and melted metal into whimsical and uniquely elegant sculpture.
His contagious laugh, mischievous sense of humor, and generous heart was felt by everyone. Proceeded in death by father and mother Robert Howell and Mary Howell (Roose), siblings Robert (Mardy), Joanne Smith (Ron), and Danny (Lisa).
Survived by wife, Mary Howell, daughter, Angela Littleton (Gregory), sons, Anthony (Julia), Leo ( T.J.), grandson, Luke, siblings, Brian (Kris), and Judy Detloff (Larry), and many loved nieces and nephews.
The world is a darker place with his vibrant flame extinguished and he will be terribly missed by every person who was lucky enough to see and feel his incredible light.
Memorial luncheon to be held at Cloverleaf Bar and Restaurant in Eastpointe from 12:30pm to 3:30pm on January 10, 2026.
