Anthony Hillebrand Obituary
He was born July 4, 1928 in St. Marys, son of the late Peter and Mary Zoschg Hillebrand. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. He was a retired employee of Mascotech in Ridgway, retiring in 1991.
On Nov. 20, 1954 in the St. Mary's Church, Tony married Patricia A. Rigard, who survives.
Tony was a member of the St. Mary's Church. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and stationed in the Philippines. When his children were growing up, Tony was very active in their school activities.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tonia Hillebrand of St. Marys; two sons, Matthew Hillebrand and his wife Nancy of St. Marys and John Hillebrand and his wife Kathy of Mansfield, Massachusetts; a brother, William "Bill" Hillebrand of Kersey; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Hillebrand and Patty Hillebrand, both of St. Marys; a very special nephew, David Hillebrand of Havre De Grace, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Hillebrand and Ida Sorg; and five brothers, Peter, Rudolph, Louis, Joseph and Otto Hillebrand.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony A. "Tony" Hillebrand will be held in the St. Mary's Church at a time and date to be announced. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society, Elk County, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield, Pa. 16830; the Elk County Catholic School System, Advancement Office, 600 Maurus St., St. Marys, Pa. 15857; or to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, Pa. 15857.
