Marianna Nooth Obituary

NEW BEDFORD — Marianna (Drummond) Nooth, 82, of New Bedford died May 18, 2008 at home peacefully. She was the wife of the late Wendell P. Nooth, Sr. with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Mrs. Nooth was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was formerly employed by the City of New Bedford for many years as a custodian at New Bedford Vocational School and City Hall until retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy A. Nooth of New Bedford; 5 sons, Wendell P. Nooth, Jr. of Mattapoisett, James F. Nooth of Louisville KY, Joseph D. Nooth and Timothy E. Nooth, both of New Bedford and Mark S. Nooth of Idaho; a niece, Brenda Wyche of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

She was the grandmother of the late April Nooth.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
