Jean LoSciuto Obituary

Jean K. (McCabe) LoSciuto, age 87, of Weymouth, formerly of Winthrop, passed away Nov. 5, 2012 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Jean retired from the Town of Weymouth Water Department where she worked for 20 years. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and family gatherings. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking. Jean was also an avid New England Patriots Fan and Boston Red Sox Fan. Beloved wife of 62 years of Joseph C. LoSciuto. Devoted mother of Susan Dempsey and her husband Jack of Kingston, Robert LoSiuto of Hingham, Stephen LoSciuto and his wife Suzanne of Kingston, Paul LoSciuto and his wife Ruthann of Rockland and David LoSciuto of Quincy. Loving grandmother of Michael LoSciuto and Kristy Dunphy of Kingston, Kaitlyn LoSciuto of Kingston and Matthew and Julliann LoSciuto of Rockland. Sister of the late Evellyn Ross, Eleanor Wipfler, M. Joan McKiernan, Ann Hogan, Bernard McCabe, W. George McCabe, Thomas McCabe and Francis McCabe. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Prayer Service in the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Friday at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment, Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. The LoSciuto family would like to extend there heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful people at the Welch Home Care Services and the Harbor House Nursing Home in Hingham for the care and support they have provided to Jean and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeans memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. 38105. www.st.jude.org. nana, we miss you. papa still celebrated your anerversary and birthday, i hope you did too. I still and always will regret not telling you everything. I will always carry your strength with me throughout my life. I'll always appreciate food too, hahah I believe I definatly have your appetite! :) I miss you, I love you, and every time papa talks too long I'll picture the "look" you would give him to shut up hahah. rest easy, don't worry you looked beautiful, your hair was perfect as always.

My sincere sympathy. Auntie Jean was the greatest, I will always remember the many Thanksgivings at her home and July 4th parties at her son, Robert's home, and all the laughs we shared. Fond memories I will treasure. She will be deeply missed.
