Grace E. Stevens

Grace E. (Major) Stevens of Rockland, died peacefully at home on June 2, 2021. Grace and her late husband Robert were longtime residents of Braintree. Grace grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School, class of 1951. She worked in administration for many different companies, most recently retiring from John Hancock where she worked for many years. Grace and her husband were avid travelers and had visited places all over the world including Hawaii, Mexico, Australia, Alaska and partaking on many cruises. Grace had a passion for Scottie dogs, especially her fur baby Lucky. She enjoyed the ocean, swimming, walking, boating, baking and cooking. Graces' main passion in life was her family, her presence made those around her smile. She will be remembered for her giving, kind hearted soul. Grace will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Robert H. Stevens. Loving mother of Kenneth Stevens and his wife Lori of New York, Kathye Gorham and her late husband Paul previously of Weymouth and Kimberly Nevins and her husband Kurt of Brockton. Cherished Gramma of Kerianne, Kori, Patrick, Kyle and Kolton. Adored great Gramma of 4 and 1 on the way. Adored daughter of the late David and Grace Major. Caring sister of Bill Major and his wife Kathy of Holden, MA and the late Claire Major and Donlad Major. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 3 - 7 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
