Ada Stevens Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 4, 2026.
Ada Jean Stevens, 87, of Bonita California, passed away peacefully at her home on January

26, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. Born on March 7, 1938, in Traer, Iowa. Ada was

the beloved daughter of Harold and Audrey Robbins and sister to Dennis and Bill Robbins,

of whom preceded her death.

Known for her warmth and genuine kindness, Ada had a gift for making everyone feel

welcome. She was naturally friendly to strangers and often turned chance encounters into

lasting friendships. Her passion for cooking brought joy to many family gatherings, where

her dishes became the centerpiece of laughter and love.

A devoted wife to Richard Stevens for 68 years, Ada shared a beautiful life built on love,

respect, and partnership. Together, they raised three children - Roberta Jackson (Dave),

Mark Stevens (Kathy), and Rhonda Terry (Mark), who were the pride and joy of her life and

the result of five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Ada took immense pleasure in

gardening and home design, creating spaces that reflected her creativity and care.

In her younger years, she was an enthusiastic member of her Sweetwater High School

social club and marching band majorette. Always contributing her energy and positive spirit

to every event. Her involvement fostered lifelong relationships that she cherished

throughout her life.

The service will be held on February 18, 2026, at 10:00 am at Glenn Abbey, Chapel of the

Roses, with a Celebration of Life to follow at the San Diego Country Club. Family and

friends are invited to attend and share in remembering this remarkable woman.

Ada Jean Stevens will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love,

kindness, grace, and strength will live on through her children and grandchildren. We will

carry her memory in our hearts forever.
