Alaina LAWSON Obituary

LAWSON, Alaina Kristeen (Age 24) Passed away September 5, 2015 in a tragic car accident. Alaina was born August 29, 1991 in Spokane. She graduated from Shadle Park High School. Alaina loved tennis and basketball. In recent years she had traveled to Mexico, Jamaica and Alaska. By far her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. She had an infectious laugh and found joy in all things. She loved freely and generously. She was a nursing assistant at Royal Park Health and Rehab. She loved caring for her residents and was considering pursuing a degree in nursing. She is survived by her mother Krista (Todd) Anderson; her father Darren (Erica) Lawson; siblings Aleesha Lawson, Alexa (Carlos Zavala) Lawson, Ashton Lawson, and Kyle Smith; newborn nephew Mateo Zavala; grandparents Voni Eisenbeis, Barbara Lawson, and Kevin (Connie) Groff. She also leaves behind her devoted and loving boyfriend Tyler Russell. Alaina had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. Though too numerous to name individually, please know that Alaina loved each of you deeply. Though Alaina's family is devastated by her passing, we take comfort that her death was instantaneous, without suffering, and that she was a baptized believer in Christ. We are comforted that she is safe and whole with the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the other victims of the car accident, both the two friends who passed away with Alaina, and the two friends and others who survived. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 3pm at Turning Point Open Bible, 11911 N. Division. Online guestbook at www.riplingerfuneralhome.com.

Our Deepest Sympathy to Family, Tyler, friends, and all those that loved Alaina Lawson. Alaina's blossoming relationship with Tyler gave rise to her Alaska trip just a few short weeks ago allowing Tyler's Alaska family the opportunity to know, love, and immediately embrace her warm, gracious and loving heart and exuberant personality. The days we shared were filled with much sharing, love, fun, and laughter that we lovingly cherish as some of our fondest of memories. We extend our heartfelt sorrow for the brevity of her presence among us and will keep her in our thoughts and hearts forever ~ Tyler's Alaska Family (Grandpa, Grandma, Heather, Spencer, Ty, Hannah, Trevor & Pheobe)

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

May you all be blessed with strength during this time.

I will never forget her beautiful smile.
