VOLK,
Thomas J.
Born May 6, 1934 in Alexandra, Minnesota, died October 31, 2010 in Carson City, Nevada. Tom was the son of long-term Spokane residents, Tom and Jane Volk (deceased) and husband of Phyllis Cahill Volk (deceased). He is survived by his three children: Lisa Kalkavan, Robert Volk and Amy Nace; four grandchildren; brothers: Michael and Stephen Volk; sister, Jane Erickson and numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving spouse, Helena Volk; stepchildren: Beate and Monica Mordasini and two stepgrandchildren. Tom was a world traveler and an avid golfer until his death. His career as a geophysicist placed him in oil regions throughout the world. He enjoyed skiing and piloting his own aircraft. He was a graduate of Gonzaga Prep, excelling in varsity sports; and the University of Washington. Private family interment.
