Patricia BELKNAP Obituary
4/9/1927 - 1/28/2017
Patty was born in Walla Walla to Mary and Oscar Savage, the second of five children. She graduated from Marycliff High School and earned her RN at Sacred Heart School of Nursing where she served in the Army Nurse Cadet Corps. She married Donald Belknap in 1949 and they were off to St Louis and Medical School for Don while Patty worked as a Visiting Nurse in the very poorest sections of that city. Returning to Spokane, they had five kids, and often extras for periods of time. Patty was kind and generous, full of life and always ready for a new adventure. She and Don traveled widely and often! They were married for almost 59 years. Don died in 2008. Patricia is survived by her children Steven Belknap (Debbie), Maggie Albo, Laurel Andrechak (John), John Belknap (Theresa), and Joe Belknap, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Patricia was much loved and will be greatly missed. She will be remembered at a Vigil on Thursday, February 2 at 7PM and a Funeral Mass on Friday, February 3, 11AM, both at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 302 S. Adams Rd. in Spokane Valley. Donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane. Online condolences may be posted at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com
