Patty, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in your loss. I will always remember your mom's smile and positive impact she had upon those of us who knew her when she used to volunteer to help at McDowell School in Hudson. She was always such an inspiration to all of us. I'm so glad that I had the extreme pleasure of knowing her. Our elders have so much to share and teach us even after we are grown and adults. Thank God when she retired, she continued to impact others' lives in so many ways. May her memories and the love she showed you (and everyone) bring you peace. She may no longer be here on earth in flesh, but her memory and love will live in your heart forever! Take care, I care!

I was so sad to hear about Marcella. I still remember going to the wedding when she married my Uncle Nick. Marcella was always there for all the Chicatelli family gatherings and was fun to talk with. She was a great lady. With sympathy,
Fran (Nappi) DiDonato

To the family of Marcella Chicatelli,
I had the priviledge of knowing Marcella at the Villa and knew in the short time I knew her she was a special person. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

Had to get to heaven by St. Patrick's Day - She'll be dancing this year! Marcella blessed her family, friends, and acquaintences with her wit, humor, and kindness. It took no effort because it was the very real expression of her heart and soul.
Peace and joy - Slán go fóill (good-bye for now).

Thank you Marcella for welcoming two generations of Sturkeys into your Picard/Chicatelli families! What wonderful memories of being in the kitchen on Sunday mornings with Nick as he taught me to make, cut and dry fresh pasta while you went off to light a candle for us at Mass. Your warnings about hanging out with Bob & his buddies at that local pub the night before I was to be Maid of Honor in Patty's wedding are still legend.
You were just as feisty last week when you were so sure that you and my niece Sarah could put your hospital bed in her Dad's truck and get you to the baby shower in Conneaut, on time. I knew things had come full circle for our families when you pronounced to Sarah that during your last days you were going to be a P.I.T.A. and that you didn't mean "bread"!
Know that you will be smiling on the corned beef/cabbage from the Sturkey kitchen and the antipasto trays from Devitas Deli that we transported to Conneaut from North Hill in Akron.
Thank you for caring about all of us and leaving us with such wonderful Life-Lessons.
I will always keep (try to keep) the promise that I made to Rick and you regarding Patty: Wish me luck!
Missing you already......

Marcella touched so many lives. I enjoyed talking with her when we visited at The Villa. She had been in and out of my life since the 1960s. She loved reading lately and we always talked about what book she was reading and, of course, Patty. We last visited in January. She will be missed. Patty, please email me.

I got to know Marcella when I first started volunteering at East Woods' library. She was a whiz at typing those catalog cards! She was also funny, kind, and a good listener. I smile when I think of Marcella because she was one of those rarities - a genuinely nice person. She will be missed.
