Provost, Mary M. Age 83, of Golden Valley passed away May 1, 2010 She is survived by Robert Peter Provost, her loving husband of 58 years. Mary was predeceased by parents Margaret and Thomas Maple. She was born July 8, 1926 and grew up in Minneapolis and Lake Minnetonka. Mary graduated from Washburn High School in 1944 and attended the University of Minnesota. She loved Golden Valley and was involved in the community for 48 years. Mary is survived by daughter, Margaret and son, Paul (Donna) both of St. Louis Park and son, Peter (Karen) of North St. Paul; and adoring brothers, Thomas and William Maple. Mary was blessed with six grandchildren who cherish her, Ryan, Bethany, Hannah, Robert Joseph, Samuel and Benjamin. Memorial Service on Sunday, May 9 at 11:00 am, Cremation Society of Minnesota, Minneapolis Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis MN 55409 (612-825-2435). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, (minneapolisparksfoundation.org).
