Dear Pat, Herb and sons and the entire Roden family
Although I had read about the accident I did not connect it to Lisa Pfeffer until my daughter Kathy called.
It brought back many memories of the Pfeffer kids and Sevey kids playing together since we lived across the street in Tonka Bay.
May the Lord give you comfort and peace as only He can and bless all of you.

September 12, 2009

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. While it had been years since we last had contact, she and I had been best friends growing up across the street from each other in Tonka Bay. I have many wonderful memories of our childhood together. Mine and my families thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Roden and Pfeffer family,

My heart aches.

Words cannot truly describe Lisa's loving spirit and how much she means to me. Lisa is my best and dearest friend. We met when we were 13. Growing up together, through adulthood, marriage and motherhood. We shared our joys and sorrows.

Lisa had an unending compassion for people and she shared her time and talent in her many roles of service to others.

Her passion for life, her family, and God were evident in the way she lived her life. She was someone I always admired and she inspired me spiritually, personally and creatively.

I was looking forward to growing old with her. Going to flea markets, garage sales talking about our grand children, and working on our many unfinished art projects together.

I feel truly blessed to have had Lisa in my life. I will cherish my memories of Lisa and remember her loving and joyful spirit always. I will miss your smile Lisa.

Lisa
without you,
colors will be duller,
the sky les blue,
music not as sweet
in a world without you.

Love always

I am reminded by the words of the Priest at the service this morning for Lisa..."There are no accidents, only the unforeseen." It is clearly evident that Lisa had a reason for her time here with us...and even more evident that the Lord had much higher plans for her. My heartfelt thoughts to you Dan and your family during this time of loss...and change. May you keep the faith that you will see Lisa again someday.

Dan and Family,

This was quite a shock to me and I am sorry for your loss. I feel fortunate to have known Lisa through her involvement with the Boy Scouts. She was an exceptionally kind and giving person and I never saw her without a smile. I believe that Lisa will continue to positively impact the world through all the lives that she touched (including mine) and I feel honored to have known her. Best wishes to you all.

September 1, 2009

Roden family,

I worked with Lisa last year at Scenic Heights, and my interactions with her will most certainly impact my teaching for many years to come. As a music teacher, I was struck by Lisa's devotion to her students - drawing in as many staff members as possible in working to better her students' lives at school. Even as I write this, I am remembering more and more instances in which her passion for each individual child made a difference. In this difficult time, please know that Lisa's gifts have touched many people - her work will go on through each of us who learned from her.

Dan,
You are one of the kindest individuals I have ever met. It is heartbreaking to know that you have lost your partner in this journey. Though the purpose of such a tragedy is unfathomable, it is clear by her smile that she has left you and your family with a loving legacy to carry on.
Know that all of us at Hopkins High School missed you on the first day of school. We know your family will find the peace, strength and courage in the coming months to write the next chapter.

Let us know how we can help.

Lisa was in one word an "Amazing" woman; she had such a warm glow about her and a huge smile, and such a loving heart. Lisa, a loving person for sure
Who's life was snatched away from us
Everything is such a blur

To Dan, Michael, Sarah, James and Emma
No words can describe
The pain you all must be feeling
Many buried deep inside

Times like this we rely on faith
As nothing else will do
Knowing Lisa has eternal life
Gives me a sense of peace, too

My heart is really broken
As I know many are
Many words not spoken
Lots of love from near and far.

I don't know what to say
So for now I will only pray
That God gives you peace of mind
For a wife and Mom who was so kind

A friend to all
Lisa touched many lives
May she rest in peace
While the rest of us survive

I will miss you Lisa,
My friend you were so dear
God has wrapped his arms around you,
This is very clear

You will be missed by all you touched
May your memory live on and on,
In the lives of those you loved
We all must carry on

We will see you next in Heaven,
My faith tells me so,
May peace and comfort come to us
We are so sorry you had to go

We miss you and we love you.

I'm so very sorry for your family's sudden loss. Lisa always inspired me to try and be the patient mother my challenging daughter deserves. Over the years she worked with Anna at Scenic Heights and met with me in conference, she always modeled patience, dedication, respect and love. She was truly joyful in her work and I admired her so very much. I hope all of the parents who lives she touched will follow her lead and continue to love and cherish their "special" children with the same zest and care she did. She was a woman who did great things in humble, wonderful ways.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. Lisa was always willing to help me when I needed help at scouts. She will be greatly miss by us in Troop 424. I will miss the talks we had and I will have fond memories of her.

Our deepest sympathy to your family on your tragic loss. Lisa was my son Jesse's Faith Formation teacher for several years. She seemed so kind to the kids and she obviously had a deep faith. May God help ease your pain.
Sincerely, the George family.

This is so sudden and tragic. I know you are overwhelmed. I hope you can draw some comfort in the days ahead by knowing how much Lisa was loved and respected by so many people. She will be so greatly missed. Fondly, Dena
