I only recently heard about Dr. Neubauer's passing. I took genetics with him my sophomore year at the University of Texas. He was always very friendly and helpful professor. His class pushed me to be a better student and I quickly learned how to succeed at upper-division biology classes at UT. I'm thankful that I was in his class and only wish I had taken the chance to thank him personally. May his soul rest in peace.

It was a great pleasure to be acquainted with Dr Neubauer. We loved the flowers from his wildflower garden that he shared with us at the front desk in biology advising. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for truly blessing us with Dr. Neubauer's incredible intelligence in science, artistry in language, and confidence in Christ. Dr. Neubauer was a profound professor and an inspiring follower of God. During office hours, not only would he patiently recite points in his lessons for me, but we also had conversations of science and faith. Through this, I learned of his strong faith and his daily devotions with God. Seeing his photos and poems on the walls, hearing his love and personal encounter with God gave other students and me the reassurance that science is not a field where God's voice is completely mute, but rather science is a tool that exposes and manifests God's presence and love for His creation. These memories of Dr. Neubauer will remain with me for this lifetime and into the next. Please continue to use his amazing books and poems for Your great works. And most importantly, please be with his family and friends and please give them the comfort of knowing we will see him again one day for he is a stored treasure in Christ. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
